Monument record TQ 76 NE 435 - A possibly 19th century structure visible as a cropmark, Great Lines Heritage Park, Chatham
Summary
A cropmark of a rectangular structure, roughly 50m by 60m, with internal sub-divisions, has been observed on land within the proposed Great Lines Heritage Park. An evaluation of this feature in 2010 found only shallow foundation trenches, suggesting perhaps a temporary structure, either military in nature or possibly related to the fairground activity said to have taken place on the site.
