Full Description

During the Second World War a number of single storey buildings were constructed on land adjacent to Fort Luton, apparently connected to the use of the site as Allied Air Command for the Medway area. One structure was possibly of two stories. The structures are visible on aerial photographs take in 1947/8 and a walkover survey of the site in 2009 identified uneven ground and earthworks as possible traces of these structures. (1).
