Full Description

This site is the supposed location of the former church of St Michal, Hythe. It is suggested by Livett to be located in 'Hill's, Hythe Hospital map of 1685, as the area marked 'M'.

Identified on the 6 inch Ordnance survey map sheet as a long strip between three stones between the military canal and a farm now (1914) owned by a Mr Chittenden on lat 51 degrees four minutes north of the canal; nearly a mile east of Hythe Church.(1).
