Full Description
During pre-development investigation in 2008, a derived/ transported flake was found in river gravels underlying the site at TP11 (TQ 56600 75000), a small, fresh condition flake was found in a possible palaeo-landsurface at c. 6m OD in TP 7 (TQ 56500 75000), on the top of the river gravels and below a thick accumulation of Last Glacial brickearth, and remains of collared lemming were found in the brickearth in TP 5 (TQ 56475 75010). The brickearth was dated to between 90k and 50k by OSL (1).
