Full Description
A scatter of prehistoric struck flints and occasional calcined flints was found during a watching brief. This was sampled, and 41 struck flints were recovered. Most were waste flakes, but there were 5 cores,/struck lumps and 9 retouched/utilised pieces. Two burnt "pot-boilers" were recovered. Most of the flints appeared to be of Neolithic/Bronze Age type, but one was thought to be Palaeolithic. (1)
