Monument record TR 36 NE 479 - An entrance to the Ramsgate Tunnel Network
Summary
During topsoil stripping for a pitch an entrance to the Ramsgate Tunnel Network was found. It consisted of a circular concrete shaft measuring approximately 1m in diameter leading to a rectangular concrete chamber from which a passage led off to the south west. An iron ladder was built into the side of the shaft.
