Full Description
During stripping of topsoil and observation of foundation and service trenches at Sir Roger Manwood School in 1993 a small collection of pottery was recovered: 29 sherds of pottery, including a Roman sherd, three 12th century pieces and almost a dozen 13th/14th century sherds. A number of post-medieval and modern fabrics made up the remainder.
A sherd of Spanish green glazed lebrillo probably dates to the period c. 1350-1550 and is only the second example reported from Kent [in 1994]. (1).
