Full Description
Part of a copper-alloy stirrup found by G. Finn-Felcey in 1989. It appears 'to represent the typological transition between the late medieval stirrup forms and the broad fan -plate type emerging during the early decades of the sixteenth century'. It is unusual being copper-alloy rather than iron.
