Full Description

Watching brief undertaken by Alan Ward in March 2008 at St Peter’s School, Aylesford. Multiple phases of ragstone, and ragstone and brick walling. Rendering was present suggesting the presence of a cellar at one point, though no floor was observed. A 'culvert' (though very flattened in shape) of 18th or early 19th century date, and a second cellar of the same period. (1)

An additional watching brief in 2011 found cellars and a tunnel, both backfilled with demolition rubble. (2)
