Full Description
Aerial ropeway buildings including a 3m x 2.2m sunken pit containing 5 whole and 1 half concrete counterweights, and three additional concrete bases measuring 2m x 0.6m located at c.2m intervals running south from the pit. Oral history notes that the aerial ropeway was used to import clay from nearby Paddlesworth, then transported to cement works on the other side of the A228. (1)
