Full Description

Excavations undertaken around the White Horse Stone site in the Medway Valley between Oct 1998-Mar 1999 by Oxford Archaeology. The site consisted of three areas along the CTRL line; from west to east: the ‘White Horse Stone site’, the ‘Pilgrim’s Way site’, and the ‘West of Boarley Farm site’.

There appears to have been a decline in activity in the middle Neolithic, with activity being evidenced only by a few sherds of Peterborough ware on the Pilgrim’s Way site. (1)
