Full Description

Excavations undertaken around the White Horse Stone site in the Medway Valley between Oct 1998-Mar 1999 by Oxford Archaeology. The site consisted of three areas along the CTRL line; from west to east: the ‘White Horse Stone site’, the ‘Pilgrim’s Way site’, and the ‘West of Boarley Farm site’.

A single inhumation burial of a young adult female was found on the Pilgrim’s Way site. Near to, though not stratigraphically linked to, the Pilgrim's Way trackway. (1)
