Summary
A hoard of large brass Roman coins was ploughed up about 1790 in Ten Acre Field on the Dunders land at Stowting. The greater part was dispersed but about 100 came into the possession of Benjamin Andrews.

Full Description
A hoard of large brass Roman coins was ploughed up about 1790 in Ten Acre Field on the Dunders land at Stowting (TR 1241). The greater part was dispersed but about 100 came into the possession of Benjamin Andrews. (1) No further information on this hoard was obtained and nothing was noted when `Ten Acres on the Hill' - TR 109430 - was prepared. (c1952) for planting an orchard. (2)
