Full Description
Well at Brushings Farmhouse, Hollingbourne, found by Archaeology South-East during groundworks in Apr 2007. Internal diameter in the range 1.19-1.23m; external diameter 1.6-1.8m; depth > 5.5m, with the sides tapering towards the base. Due to its location next to the house (TQ 85 NW 234), it is presumed to date to the construction of the house (early 16th century). (1)
