Full Description
A Roman road running from Canterbury to Richborough. The location of this road is TR 1522 5772.
A section of this road can be seen as cropmark traces of its lateral ditches and the banks of the road, these run ENE-WSW between TR 2157 5847 and TR 2181 5855. (1)
Description from record TR 25 NW 58:
Linear cropmark on line of RR10, north of Seaton Road. There is another possible track near the tennis courts and quarries at Wickambreaux. (2)
A length of road was excavated at the Seaton gravel pits in 1972-1974 where it was observed to be 7m in width and flanked by drainage ditches. (3)
