Full Description
Fieldwalking and geophysical survey undertaken by Wessex Archaeology in 2010 at Chilmington Green, Ashford. The lack of prehistoric material from the fieldwalking in an area of known prehistoric activity suggests a large degree of overburden and thus potentially unrepresentative fieldwalking results.
Potential small Roman settlement at Chilmington Green. (1)
In 2011 Wessex Archaeology conducted a geophysical survey of the Chilmington Green development area. Some linear anomalies were detected in this area and may relate to this potential site. (2)
