Full Description

Old Cottage and Water Street Cottage were dismantled ahead of the construction of the Chanel Tunnel Rail Link in 1999. They were rebuilt, and renamed as Lenham Cottages, at the Museum of Kent Life in 2000.

7/194 Old Cottage/Water Street Cottage. II
House. C19 facade to C15 building. Timber framed. Ground floor C19 red brick in Flemish bond, first floor tile-hung. Plain tile roof. Parallel to a track at right-angles to Lenham Heath Road. 2 storeys. Roof half-hipped to left. 3 brick ridge stacks, one towards left end, one to centre and one towards right end. Irregular fenestration of 3 casements; two 2-light and one single-light. One large eaves dormer to right end. Half- glazed and panelled door off-centre to right.Interior not inspected.
