Full Description
A clay-built Roman wall associated with earth floors, the earliest dated by an as of Nero, were disclosed by work in cellars at 45-46 Burgate [TR 15035781 - 46 Burgate, sited from OS 1:1250 1972]. This was replaced by a more solid building with floors of mortar or opus signinum. (1)
