Full Description
(TR 15325845. Sited from CAT Topo map). Colton. (1) Manor of Colton. (2) A rental written by 1227 lists rents, names of tenants, with a short note on holdings belonging to the Christchurch Manor of Colton. The manor was located in the suburbs beyond the northern walls of Canterbury and maps of the holdings lie in Baggeberi (New Ruttington Lane) as in the Northgate Street area. "There is no certain evidence for the presence of a manor house". (3)
