Monument record TR 15 NE 265 - Saxon chapel

Summary

Excavations in 1955-57 revealed the foundations of a building, possibly a small detached chapel belonging to the Saxon church. It may have had a western tower and may have been the last of four churches aligned east-west across the site. Possibly dates to the 11th century.
