Full Description

(TR 15055771)(1). Roman layers but no features were found during an excavation at the south east end of Iron Bar Lane about forty feet back from its junction with St George's Street. Buildings were erected in the fourteenth century, represented by floor surfaces earlier, contemporary with or later than three flint-and-mortar walls.One phase of building was destroyed by fire. A medieval wall was noted. (1)
