Summary
Thannington Water Pumping Station of the Mid-Kent Water Co is situated on the south side of the A28 Canterbury to Maidstone road. The building dates from 1869 but was extended in 1924. Both dates are on plaques on the building. The pumps are now electrically driven with diesel engines as standby.
