Full Description

A large amphora, 2ft 2ins high and 17ins in diameter, broken, was found at a depth of 10ft opposite the eastern corner of St Mary Bredin's Church [TR 15 NW 143]. It contained earth and 41 Roman coins. Most of the coins were illegible, those that could be deciphered being nearly all of Carausius. (1-3)
