Full Description
TQ 555 675 Farningham. An area about 100 m E of Franks villa (TQ 56 NE4), on the E bank of the River Darent, was examined in advance of motorway construction. Boundary ditches and pits containing C3rd rubbish were located, as well as a tiled oven. The position of the house on the W bank was determined by trial trenching, and its limits defined. A Saxon sunken hut was located. (1,2)
