Summary

Anglo-Saxon grave, containing a polychrome bead, was found to the west of Martyrs' Field on the Wincheap side of the railway. The site lies on a gentle north-west facing slope. OD15-20m.

Full Description

An Anglo-Saxon grave containing a polychrome bead was found a little way to the west of Martyrs' Field on the Wincheap side of the railway [Area TR 1456]. [Linked by Meaney to finds in Martyrs' Field - TR 15 NW 48]. (1)
