Full Description
The walls of a Roman house were discovered by the Canterbury Excavation Committee in 1955, south-west of St Margaret's Church. It included four rooms, two of which had tessellated floors, were found during excavations at 31 St Margaret's Street. It was thought to be early because its earliest floors were not far separated from the natural soil. (1) Sited to 31 St Margarets Street (TR 14845774) between St Margaret's Street and Hawk's Lane.
