Full Description
(TR 14485775 sited from plan) Ro building. A large Roman building was revealed by excavation in part of the allotments adjacent to St Mildred's Tannery in July 1987 (see plan). Its proximity to the Roman London gate and Watling Street suggests that it may have been a house or perhaps a mansio, an inn for travellers. (1)
