Summary

Full Description
In 2000 21 test pits were excavated across the site, the soil was sieved and metal detected. Over 1m of colluvium was found covering the site. Two features of uncertain function and date were exposed in the base of the test pits. Recovered material included 108 pieces of worked flint (including some blade fragments that may be of Mesolithic or early Neolithic date), two pieces of Bronze Age bun ingot, one prehistoric sherd and six of Roman date.
