Full Description

Six Thames picks and one hand axe were picked up about 1930 off the end of Long Rock. The area in which they were found, centred at TR 13606800, was indicated by the finder, Mr. Wallace C Harvey (local historian) of 53 Oxford Street, Whitstable. The flints, iron staired and water-worn, are still in Mr. Harvey's possession (1). Additional references (2,3) and for site in context with others with Mesolithic finds and inter-tidal zone, see (4).
