Full Description
Medieval pottery kiln, part of the Tyler Hill pottery industry, recorded during fieldwork near Brittancourt Farm. The site comprised a scatter of pottery and kiln debris. The pottery is in a sandy micaceous fabric. Forms included pitchers. The kiln is the earliest known production site for Tyler Hill and has been dated typologically to circa 1150-1175.TR143618 Kiln Debris and pottery from near Brittoncourt Farm, c.AD1150- 1160 (1-2)
