Full Description
[TR 277 389] J. Coles discovered a pointed flint handaxe on Abbotscliff at the south end of Hougham parish just west of Dover on land farmed by Mr G. Stokes of Little Hougham Court (1, 2). The handaxe is 9.5 cms long by 7.4 cms wide and typologically it matches Type Fb/1 in Wymers's 1968 classification scheme (3). Handaxe remains with finder.
