Findspot record TR 23 NW 5 - Roman Upchurch Urns, Folkestone

Summary

Two small Upchurch urns with iron nails were found near the Canterbury Road and the railway viaduct at Folkestone. Many potsherds and tile wasters, found nearby, are thought to indicate a brickyard, but they may be connected with the Roman building in Folly Fields [see TR 23 NW 6].
