Findspot record TR 23 NW 16 - Pottery fd

Summary

"Ancient British Pottery" consisting of broken vases was found in the Sandgate Road at the south-east corner of Christ Church grave yard, in 1878, and is now in the Folkestone Museum. Only one of these 'vases' can be traced in Folkestone Museum, a tiny buff-coloured beaker, of uncertain but probably Roman date. Nothing further is known about it at Folkestone Museum where it is described as Neolithic.
