Full Description
A butt-shaped beaker (B2) which came to Folkestone Museum as part of "the Old Collection" before 1918 was probably found in Folkestone. It s 6.5 inches high, of a soft fabric, and is ornamented with four zones of horizontal notched lines. (1) No further information was gained at Folkestone Museum, except that its provenance was deduced from its containing local brick-earth. The main brick-works of Folkestone were centred at TR 220373 and have been disused for many years. (2) additional references (3-4)
