Full Description

A "Neolithic flake tool" found in the garden of 73, Shornecliffe Crescent, Folkestone, was retained by the finder, Mr. Tandy, who moved to Yeovil, Somerset in 1956. The above property is centred at TR 20343630; enquiries of neighbours failed to produce a closer siting. (1)

Shorncliffe, Folkestone. Large and well-polished flint axe. It is ten inches long and is of the same type as those found on Bexley Heath. It has square sides, a rounded working edge and thin butt. It is in Canterbury Museum. (2)
