Findspot record TR 23 NW 58 - Neolithic impliments and pottery

Summary

A leaf shaped arrowhead and sandstone axe were found at Caesar's Camp, as was some Neolithic pottery. All finds are in the Folkestone Museum. The pottery was found during Pitt-Rivers' excavations of 1878.

Full Description

In store in Folkestone Museum is a Ne. leaf-shaped arrowhead found at Caesar's Camp at an unknown date and donated by the late N.Toke. On display from the same site is a small sandstone Ne. axe found September 1907, also some Ne. `B' sherds found in 1878 during excavations of Caesar's Camp (TR 23 NW 2) by Pitt-Rivers (a). (1-4)
