Full Description
[TQ 53716889] Long. Oo 12' 35", Lat. 51o 23' 52", about 230 ft. O.D. Flint flakes, scrapers, microliths, etc., found July, 1947, in orchard between Farningham Wood and Rams Wood. Roman tile and brick scattered on this hill is probably from the Roman site 200 yds. away. [See TQ 56 NW 17.] (1) No further evidence of flint working was found in the area but a few scraps of Roman brick were found in the area centred TQ 54126868, near the siting given for the Roman building.
