[TQ 54716778] Flint axe fragments found. (a) (b). Few of the implements have been preserved. Col Meates holds a few classifiable examples found by Greenfield and himself, but no exact record to relate their provenance has been kept. No field action. (1) On the 23rd of July 1947 Greenfield and Meates found a portion of an axe, a circular orate and 6 flakes in a ploughed field near Big Folly Field, Farmingham Woods. On the 28th July 1947 an axe fragment and 6 flakes were found in the same place. (2)
