Full Description
A barrow at Barham [TR 2049] was opened by Thomas Diggs and Sir Christopher Hales in 'the days of Henry VIII' [1509-47], and a large urn found. Although assumed by Ashbee and Dunning (1) to be Bronze Age, Meaney (2) says that if the record of associated iron objects is correct this would be an Anglo Saxon cremation burial. (1-2)
