Monument record TR 24 NW 56 - Unknown Enclosure Site Possibly de Brome Manorial Centre, Broome Park

Summary

Two enclosures lie side by side within Broome Park, one curvilinear (and partly bivallate), the other rectilinear and subdivided. Pits and other linear features visible. Features between the two enclosures may indicate a thrird enclosure or building. The form and layout of these features suggest a sizable settlement, perhaps of medieval date. If correct then thais may be the unlocated site of the manorial centre first recorded and maned de Brome in 1260.
