TR 295433, Me industry, including microliths, flakes, scrapers, in the garden of 22 Beresford Road, River. Found by Mr. E. J. Young. Seen 29.6.1966 by D. B. Kelly. (1) No one could be contacted at the above address. The plot of land is centred at TR 29534334, and abuts onto the banks of a little stream. (Sited on 1:2500 to centre of garden at TR 29534335). (2) TR 29534335. Mesolithic site in the Dour Valley, a mesolithic `working floor' producing microliths, flakes and scrapers has been recorded at River. (3)

The site has since been re-appraised (see TR 34 SW 32) and a mesolithic date seems unlikely.
