Full Description

[Marginal] A Roman site near Great Wenderton, not far from the banks of the Lesser Stour, is being examined by Dr. J. D. Ogilvie. A flint floor was revealed with occupation debris containing pottery, glass fragments and late 4c. coins. Below this was a road. (1,2) Sited to TR 23605922(a) Nothing except a few potsherds is to be seen on the ground, which is at present under hay. The precise nature of the site is not known. The finds were retained by Dr. Ogilvie who has now left the district. (3)
