Full Description
At least 12 Palaeolithic implements (including several handaxes and one possible Mousterian type) were found in the gravel pit at Howletts where the Jutish cemetery was found (1). The gravel pit is grassed over and under fruit trees (2-4). Other sources (5, 6).
