Full Description
Iron Age and Romano-British finds were made on the course of a water pipe trench from Stourmouth to Adisham (see map, sites 32-39). (The general location is centred to TR 248 590.) Flint flakes, Belgic imitation pottery and Romano-British sherds were revealed. Earlier Iron Age wares are dated to the second half of the 1st century B.C. (The following sites were also recorded along the course of the pipe- line: TR 25 NW 48, 50, 51, 52 and 53; TR 26 SE 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19.)(1)
