Full Description
TR 271516. An Iron Age and Romano British farmstead at Kittington Farm, Nonington. An excavation carried out by the Kent Archaeological Rescue Unit ahead of a pipe-line revealed fourteen ditches and six pits. One ditch seemed to relate to an Iron Age circular enclosure, the others to at least three subrectangular enclosures or field boundaries. A succession of farmsteads ranging from the late Iron Age to the second century seems to be indicated. (1)
