Full Description

TQ 515 698 The ruins of Hextable House on College Road were excavated by the Kent Archaeological Rescue Unit. The house was shown to be 17th century with 3 phases of construction and possible evidence of an earlier building in the cellar. (1,2)

[TQ 515 700] Hextable House. Crayford Manor House Historical and Archaeological Society. Excavations on the site of Hextable House (demolished 1946) have uncovered evidence of Tudor construction with major 17th C development and 19th and 20th Century additions. (3 - London Arch 3 no 10 1979 275)

Latterly the building hosted the Hextable Horticultural College (from map evidence and associated records).
