Full Description
A line of post-holes containing IA sherds was found along the NE side of the A2 road to Dover in the area of the Saxon cemetery [TR 25 SW 14] during work by the Thanet Water Board. (1) This find was made in the vicinity of TR 20205193 in the area later covered by widening of the A2. It was observed by Vera Evison when she was excavating the threatened portion of the Saxon cemetery. Nothing of course now survives on the ground. (2)additional references (3-4)
