Full Description

TR 28706974. An uninscribed gold coin, dated by B.M. to c. 50 B.C., was found on the beach at Gore End in 1947. Obverse, plain; reverse, disjointed horse and star. (1) F.H. Worsfold is now dead and although his collection went to Maidstone Museum this coin was not included. It is not held at any of the Thanet Museums (2), additional references (3-5) and site photographs (6).
