Summary

Probable early Iron Age rubbish pits indicated by the discovery of large amounts of pottery and other artefacts on the foreshore and in pits in the cliffs at Minnis Bay, Birchington. Discovered due to erosion and development work. Finds include a colander and a vessel of square section; flint implements including scrapers, blades, a borer and bone weaving tools.
