Monument record TR 26 NE 56 - Cropmark features, Minster parish
Summary
A number of cropmark features were previously identified in fields in the east of Minster parish. These were recorded from aerial photgraphs taken in 1979 and included a round cornered rectilinear enclosure, several ring ditches, a number of linear cropmarks and an oval shaped pit. The date of these features is uncertain: they may possibly be associated with anglo saxon cemetery to the north east near Monkton (see TR 26 NE 13). A rectilinear enclosure of Later Prehistoric date was seen as a cropmark and was mapped from Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 14-APR-2015 and mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024
